Dignitas pulls out of MLG Columbus; future unknown

With three of their players gone from the roster, Team Dignitas will not be able to attend MLG Columbus. MLG is currently scrambling to find a team to fill the void.

It has barely been a day since it was announced that Theeban '1437' Siva and Scott 'BleeK' Jensen had left the team and now, after the dust has all settled, it seems as though Dignitas will be putting their Dota 2 division on hold; effectively pulling out from the MLG tournament, slated to begin in just well over a week. Dignitas earned their spot in the tournament through a victory at the Fall Invitational with a guaranteed prizepool of at least $2,000~.

The squad recently let go of their carry player Steven 'Korok' Ashworth due to reported 'attitude issues', having missed their trip to Korea. His departure was then followed by Bleek, who was rumored to have joined Dignitas only because of his close relationship with Korok, and Theeban '1437' Siva. The team currently consists only of Jimmy 'DeMoN' Ho and Francis 'Inphinity' Pravongviengkham. The future for the NA squad is currently unknown and it is still unclear if Dignitas will hold on to their Dota 2 squad.

On another note, Speed Gaming will be participating in the tournament without their complete roster, as Pittner 'Bone7' Armand was unable to get a visa to travel to the United States. Instead, Artour 'Arteezy' Babaev will be replacing him to take the fifth slot on the team. However, it is still unclear which role Arteezy will be taking up as he is known for his mid play while Bone7 is the team's third position.

Stay tuned to GosuGamers as we update you on the latest information from MLG.
