iG and DK still undefeated in WPC-ACE League

The second playtime of WPC-ACE League has ended with Vici Gaming and Team Adidas at the bottom of the standings. The two undefeated team, DK and iG, will go against one another in the opening match of the third playtime on the 2nd of October.

Playtime 2 recap

The most exciting match of the playtime once again belongs to DK and this time, it is their second game against LGD.cn. After winning the first game against LGD in 18 minutes, DK pulled out some spectacular moves in game two, disrupting LGD's level one Roshan attempt and also throwing Beastmaster and Weaver onto cliffs. DK is still undefeated at the end of the second playtime. (VODs)

Another undefeated team in WPC-ACE League is Invictus Gaming. Invictus Gaming took on Vici Gaming in this playtime and they ended up taking the series in straight games. Game one of the series was a rather close affair but a miscommunication and misplay near the Rosh pit at 53 minutes forced Gyrocopter to buyback in which he died a second time to the combo of Lifestealer and Storm Spirit. In the second game however, Vici Gaming led in kills and gold for most part of the game until Hao's 40 minutes free-farm Anti-Mage started showing up in battles. (VODs)

Apart from that, TongFu also defeated RisingStars 2-0 utilizing unorthodox picks in game two. TongFu opted for a tanky line-up composed of Ursa Warrior, Centaur Warchief and Troll Warlord which worked out surprisingly well. In the mid-game teamfights, TongFu just charged into RisingStars, breaking their formation and picking them off one by one. Despite that, Rstars had a slight chance to make a comeback in this game but Cty's insistence to use Electric Vortex on the Centaur lost them several battles before they pulled out the white flag. After their loss to iG in the first playtime, LGD.Int redeemed themselves by defeating Rattlesnake 2-0 in convincing fashion. The first game was a farm fest and although Luo was maxed out at 33 minutes, he bought an arguably controversial Butterfly on Alchemist which many said, lost them the game. Besides that, he also bought Refresher Orb and used the courier for an item switch when his Chemical Rage ran out. Game two was very one-sided in favour of LGD.Int from the get-go. (VODs)

In the battle of the amateur teams, Cupid's Heart took no time in defeating Team Adidas in game one and in game two. Team Adidas' strategy to go for a survival and tanky line-up in game one did not work out well as they still constantly got picked off by Cupid's superior ganking line-up. Cupid went on to win all the lanes in game two and took game two with ease. (draft)
