Group C of WePlay Season Two will begin tonight with Team Liquid first taking on Super Strong Dinosaurs at 18:30 CEST followed by Alliance versus The Retry at 20:30 CEST.
Group C is definitely the most colourful of all the groupstage one groups. This will be Team Liquid's first game since The International 3 and they will be showcasing their newly acquired player today. A few days ago, Team Liquid announced their support player, Michael 'ixmike88' Ghannam will be going inactive and traded their solo mid player Steven 'Korok' Ashworth for Peter 'waytoosexy' Nguyen from Team Dignitas. At the time of publish, Team Liquid has not finalized their fifth player but they are more than likely to be playing with Max 'qojqva' Broecker from Mousesports.
Besides that, Group C will also be the stage for the grand return of Vladimir 'PGG' Anosov who seemingly disappeared after The International 2 more than a year ago, only making minor apperances since. His team, The Retry, will feature himself and some CIS free agents such as Nikola 'Azen' Beylakov and Artem 'Jerry' Balkashinov. They will play against Alliance, the heavy favourites to win the whole tournament tonight.
Super Strong Dinosaurs, as hilarious as the name sounds, are composed of some of the North American and European players and they will most likely be Alliance's main contender for the first place spot in the group.
