TI3 Day Two: Summary of playtime #1

Group A

Mousesports (1-7) and Invasion-MUFC (0-8) did not recover from their slump and both teams are residing at the bottom of group A. Both teams are almost guaranteed a lower bracket playoffs seeding if they don't win all their upcoming games.

It is a whole different story on the upper half of the bracket. Four teams namely Fnatic, Na`Vi, Dignitas and DK are tied at 6-2 each. Their next few games today will be crucial if they want to retain their position on top. LGD.cn, the Chinese favourite struggled in day one and is currently at fifth place.

Day two - Playtime 1 (18:00 CEST)
GameResultsMatch info
Dignitas vs MouzDignitas won 2-0

Dignitas once again performed out of expectations and defeated Mousesports 2-0. In both games, Dignitas picked up the Alchemist and the Enchantress and the duo, did a lot of work for them. Game one was a total landslide while the second game was a slower grind. With three late game heroes up on the American squad, Mouz was forced to push recklessly into Dignitas and that did not pay off well.

Zenith vs DKMatch tied 1-1

Zenith was not able to hold their laning phase lead in game one and allowed Burning to farm until mid-game. Through small overextensions and mistakes Zenith did, DK was able to stage a comeback to take game one. As for game two, Zenith went for the unconventional Ursa pick and while they lost the laning phase, the Io last pick proved worthy as Zenith steam-rolled mid-game. DK wiped Zenith twice but the Singaporeans prevailed in the deciding battle.

Na`Vi vs Inv-MUFCNa`Vi won 2-0Both games between Na`Vi and MUFC were pretty one-sided albeit game one being a little closer. MUFC had a silver lining with Na`Vi's overextension in game one but the Ukrainian squad was sure to not repeat the same mistake in game two.
Fnatic vs LGD.cnMatch tied 1-1In contrary to all the matches above, both of the games played by Fnatic and LGD.cn ran long. Most notably, game two went on for 60 minutes and LGD.cn was playing catch up all throughout mid-game and late-game. They finally went for the gg push and that was successful in taking down all three set of raxes. Fnatic went for the all-or-nothing smoke and despite pulling off kills on two heroes, LGD.cn bought back and finish with relative ease.
