In the battle of the South East Asia versus China, both SEA teams disappointed their fans after they got defeated in the semi-finals of GEST The Challenge. Vici Gaming claimed first prize after they took down Rattlesnake in an one-sided grand final.
Vici Gaming took down Rattlesnake in two straight games in the grand final of GEST The Challenge July to claim their first title since their formation.
The tournament started out with four teams, two qualified South East Asian team and two invited Chinese teams, to compete against one another. By the end of the semi-finals, both MiTH and Mineski have been eliminated by Rattlesnake and Vici Gaming respectively albeit VG's match had to be decided in three games.
The grand final on the other hand, was anything but close. Vici Gaming had an early lead in the laning phase of the first game which was eventually brought into the mid-game and propelled their win against Rattlesnake on the first game. Vici Gaming walked away with the win in 13 minutes on the second game.
For the win, Vici Gaming will receive $1,000 while Rattlesnake will have to settle for $500.
