This is your second time at The International. What is the main difference between last year and this year's tournament.
I feel that it has been hosted much better in comparison to TI2. The spectators are also much more spirited and supportive.
Last year DK placed 4th in The International. Do you feel there is more pressure in this year's International?
There is definitely pressure as we placed fourth last year.
I hope that DK will have a better result this year then. Can you share with us your training process coming to Seattle?
There was nothing special during the training. Everything was done as per usual, just training everyday.
There was a rumor that when Alliance was training, they avoided the Chinese team, is that true?
No that's not true. We even played them twice.
Alright, which team do you feel has performed the best so far?
The best would definitely be either Alliance or TongFu.
Then why do you think they are strong?
For Alliance, it is because they work well as a team and they also have individual skills. Besides that, their playstyle is strong as well. As for TongFu, they performed pretty well in the recent Chinese tournaments and I think they are both in a very good state at the moment.
Alright, regarding DK's performance in the group stages, how do you feel DK has performed, being able to placed second in the group stages?
Second place is actually not quite bad but I feel there are couple of matches that we should not have lost.
During the bootcamp, did you guys analyze the western teams and noticed any of their weak spots?
We never really specifically analyzed any of the teams, we've been focusing on our own strategies and our team in general.
Why do you think Alliance has been able to make multiple comebacks?
Alliance may be behind in terms of gold and experiences in games but they are very strong in decision making, being able to farm the jungles as well as avoid fights etc.
So has DK ever thought of having a similar play style or composition?
Perhaps during the tournament, we would change stuff up depending on situation and adapt as well as learn strategies from multiple teams throughout the tournament.
Throughout the tournament, we have seen DK used multiple unorthodox strategies. Were these strategies invented by DK or copied from other teams?
These were all strategies that we encountered when we were training and we find them effective. For instance, at times I would not be playing on the carry role and switch around to my team's needs.
As DK has switched from the 4 protect 1 strategy to these new unorthodox strategies, were there any discomfort or not being use to?
At the start there were a couple of problems but eventually, our team managed to adapt to it and now we can execute it very well. We are very comfortable with out strategy right now.
Which aspect do you feel that DK has to improve in order to take the title?
I feel that our mentality as well as our attitude could be worked on. Our team as a whole needs to be more spirited as well.
As we all know and heard according to multiple interviews, this will be your last International. Would you play Dota professionally if DK were to win TI3?
We will see.
I hope that DK will achieve good results then. People tend to claim that you are one of the most handsome dota players in China. How do you feel about that?
I don't actually feel that way. I think there are a lot of handsome players out there in China like LGD.Yao, VG.Fy etc.
Alright, if you could become a Dota hero, who would you be?
I think it would be Anti-Mage.
Are there any cosmetics that you like?
I think it would be Lone Druid's panda bear.
