Hello Brian. It has been heck of a long time since you were last interviewed. How are you doing?
I'm doing well, life is great.
Let’s go straight into serious business mode shall we. Regarding your game today in the G-1 League, how do you feel now that the decision is being postponed? The whole team is a bit frustrated with the decision after waiting 1 hour for EG and then trying to play the load another 45 mins after that. Yes it was a long wait. Which one of your teammates flipped out first?
It was probably mostly our youngest member, unicorn that was the most frustrated. I knew there was nothing EG could really do, but of course it's always annoying to wait. Besides, the admins not really being firm with any decision made it even worse. Wheres Holymaster when you need him? *laughs*
Do you agree with the postpone? What would you have done if you were one of the organizers?
I would have just given a time limit from the start, so there is not much to discuss when a team reaches that point. Many leagues like Starladder have been very strict with their different time limits for everything. It's a good way to get Dota 2 up on a more professional level. I was with MYM back in the days where we got DDoSed a lot, so I understand EG's situation very well today, if it was indeed a DDoS. However, it seems like the way the organizers handle these situations haven't evolved a lot, maybe since this is one of the first few times this has happened in Dota 2.
Since you said that you had a lot of experience being the receiving end of a DDoS, what can you really do in EG's situation?
You can't do anything other than perhaps going to a nearby net cafe or friend's place. I don't know much about DDoS protection at home.
The game was eventually reloaded but the server crashed a few times before you guys started at 16 minutes. Why was it an issue to start the game at 16 minutes. Was the lead really that significant to cause a conflict?
It was an important moment for us, since we got the top tower for free and just spotted their Tidehunter top, and we knew they didn't have teleport scrolls on both the Bane and Lone Druid who was standing near our mid tower. We had 2 people with smoke coming from behind to make sure we would at least get 2 kills as well. So after we reloaded at 17 minutes, we did exactly that but in the next remake they decided to reload it at 16 minutes. So we lost the kills and the advantage we could get. We had just gotten the Diffusal Blade on Cancer Lancer as well for that fight, so we would start snowballing from there. Instead when we started at 16 minutes, we did not have any creeps in the woods for Lancer to farm and I had cooldown on my spawn treants, which would make it slower to push the top tower. Instead, they took our bottom tower, which they weren't even close to doing before the load. These kind of remakes make the game very tricky.
I fear a complete remake.. 
As far as we know, G-1 is currently trying get in contacts with Valve to see if it is possible to get the game reloaded. So what will happen if it doesn’t?
I really have no idea, since the admins have been very partial to EG. I fear a complete remake..
Deep down, do you wish for the game to be reloaded from 17 minutes or just walk away with the free win? Obviously a remake is out of the question.
I would have just played the game straight up. I was very confident on us taking the game, since both Dark Seer, Phantom Lancer and me (Nature's Prophet) was really farmed while they were very underfarmed besides Fear. They had a very 5v5 oriented strategy, where I believe our split push would finish them off within the next 30 minutes.
Good luck with that mate. In any case, let’s talk a little about the upcoming EMS One. We are about one week from the EMS One event. Is the team doing some sort of special bootcamp for the event?
Yes we will be bootcamping here in Denmark two days prior to the event. We all lucky to be living close to each other.
When will you guys be heading to Poland? Will you guys be flying in or will it be a good old road-trip?
We are flying to Poland at 6 A.M Friday morning. So, we have to get up around 4 A.M. *laughs*
Many think that the upper half of the EMS One bracket is actually much easier compared to the lower half of the bracket. Do you share the same sentiment? Why?
I share that sentiment! However, on LAN anything can happen and I don't feel like any team is super dominating in the EU scene right now. The top place shifts weekly so I wouldn't underestimate any team.
Shifts weekly? So who do you think is top this week? Alliance. *laughs* In any case, your first match in EMS One will be VP. It has been about a month since you have last played against VP in an official match. Do you think they have improved after acquiring Ars-Art or were they stronger with Santa?
I feel like they are as strong and they have a same style of picks, so they will be a good opponent to prepare for.
Even though they have quite the similar style, it seems that you guys have not defeated VP even once in the last six months. Why are they so good against you?
They play very aggressively, and our team was very new as well. So it was very hard for us to deal with their great teamwork and fast pace of play.
So what’s the game plan here going into the first round?
We will just do our best! Being underdogs all the time has it advantages *smiles*
What is your expectation for this offline event?
I expect top two. *laughs*
