Presenting the Champions, Sweden NoTideHunter:

Corsair Vengeance Dota 2 Cup at Dreamhack Winter concluded with Nth at the very top, after an amazing record of nine wins and one loss - their undefeated streak placed them at first place, ahead of first runner up EG and third placed teams Fnatic and Empire.

The five heroes that rocked DH Winter 2012 were mostly utility heroes which, apart from Bounty Hunter, was able to peak in the mid game with a focus on their ability to land certain key spells (Jakiro's Ice Path, Rubick's Spell Steal and Dark Seer's heap of team fight abilities).

When it came to heroes which no one wanted to play with, utility once again reigned supreme. Batrider, Magnus, Undying, Wisp and Dark Seer easily stole top bans this season with their ability to instantly initiate fights which would easily turn the fights in their own direction.

From this numbers we can see that 'most wanted' heroes were Batrider, Dark Seer, Magnus, Sven and Undying. Do they have something in common or they are just great in individually? The certain thing is that they were 'a must' to avoid if not being able to pick them up. It is worth mentioning however that Dark Seer's win rate did not represent his pick rate, he just won 5 of the 18 games he was picked.

*Average GPM was counted only for the most picked heroes.

Observing the numbers, you can easily figure out that the biggest "slaughterer" was Funn1k, followed by XBOCT and s0ny. Funn1k had 10,86 kills average per game which was pretty high if you take the fact that Loda (who was from the winning team) had 'only' 8,80. But in the terms of farming skills, Loda holds confidently the first place with amazing 620 average GPM.

If we look at other aspects of the game, such as the best supports or maybe the biggest 'failers', then we can came up with another names. Players which have contributed the most to their teams were Eternalenvy, s4 and TidesOfTime. No wonder that nth has won this year's DH Winter, when they had a player with the most GPM and two guys at the top of Assists.

Fun facts

SingSing is said to play support in a BYOC-team in need of a stand-in.
aL.Sony's keyboard is so old school that it couldn't even be plugged into the computer.
What do Tetris, Super Mario Bros, Dota and CS:GO have in common? DREAMHACK!
The players were wearing pilot headsets but they still were be able to hear and feel the roars from the crowd in the Finals.
After the final there was a Twitch afterparty!
Seems to be some kind of curse this Dreamhack, resulting in all playoff matches to end 2-0. (except for the Final)
Knight strat from Evil Geniuses - Holy, Rogue, Dragon, Omni... and Leshrac.
Seems like s4's surname (you know, the guy of Nth who's been playing Mangus alot) is actually Magnusson, meaning "Son of Magnus " in Swedish.
The two loudest teams were - EG and Fnatic. Every little thing deserves a shout according to them.
Dignitas said that Funn1k just destroyed them. They did good, but then suddenly Funn1k entered the game and owned them. Funn1k himself said "easy games, boring" after that quarter final. The second game, when he was playing Bounty he wrote "GIVE ME YOUR GOLD" in russian.
Empire forfeited the cointoss and Notidehunter decided on playing Dire. Empire then took first pick. So good old classic First pick Radiant, there was alot of First pick Dire this tournament.
Loda wins what he said was his fifth Dreamhack (but he didn't quite remember). Probably feels amazing to score the home field win, especially after that loss in game 1.
AdmiralBulldog played using a constant circle radius activated.
