Team Liquid receive invite to cs_summit

Team Liquid are the sixth team to receive an invite to Beyond the Summit's cs_summit.

Beyond the Summit have announced North American representatives, Team Liqiuid, as their sixth invited team to cs_summit. The $100,000 prize pool tournament will be taking place on April 19th-23rd in Los Angeles, California, United States. A total of eight teams will fly out to butt heads for the largest slice of the prize pool. Currently six teams of the eight teams have been announced by the organisers, with two teams still yet to be confirmed.

As a team, Liquid have gone through some changes as of recent,  following the departure of long-time member, Spencer "Hiko" Martin. Replacing Martin is Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz, formerly of OpTic Gaming. The most recent iteration of the North American team has not participated in many LAN tournaments, with their latest, and only result being a rather disappointing second place finish at the North American closed qualifier for Intel Extreme Masters XI: Katowice 2017, where they were knocked out in a two map sweep by Immortals.

Below you will find the six teams that have received invites to the event:

In contrast to traditional tournaments, cs_summit offers a more informal atmosphere for players to take a break from hard-core tournaments and relax in the comfort of a more homely setting. This will be the first iteration of the tournament for CS:GO, however Beyond the Summit have organised numerous events for Dota 2 and other games that have proven to be well received by viewers and players alike.
