MYM PriDe #8: Playoffs!

Tiebreakers of the biggest online DotA tournament there is are solved an we can advance into play-off phase with sixteen teams fighting for only four spots in the small double elimination phase.

Three teams tied in Group E for the second place, and German ieS Virtual Gaming left behind Portuguese Excello Gaming with less known Disciples of Mexi from United States. The final 16 of the tournament is therefore known!
Qualified teams
Russia OKHO.Gaming Malaysia Surfnet mKvL
Other MYM.DotA Russia Virtus.Pro
Other Team Pandemic Germany Just A Mix
Germany ieS Gaming Other hi2u
Malaysia Kingsurf Ukraine Hard Team
Russia Tomck.Net Sweden SK.Gaming
Europe Back To Basics France RedBeaR
Other Team Sloth Other eMazing Gaming
These teams will fight in the classic PriDe formula of one -xl game, single elimination, till there are only four teams left. After that a small double elimination is played, probably bo3 as usual with the team from winner brackets starting with 1-0 advantage in the grand final. The time span given for the games is from 2nd of December to 10th. If the games are announced with a reasonable reserve of time a GGTV stream will be provided along with GosuBets, although the schedule is quite tight, therefor it might not be so easy. The mini brackets are given in the table below.
Playoffs structure

Other TPDvsGermany ieSEurope BTBvsOther tS
Third branchFourth branch
Malaysia mKvLvsRussia VPUkraine HTvsSweden SK
Germany jamvsOther hi2uFrance rBvsOther eMg

The strongest seems to be the fourth branch, where every team is well known and has proven to be capable of winning versus every team, Swedish SK.Gaming being the favorite after their amusing performance in DreamHack. Albeit as the former editions of the tournament have proven, there are no easy opponents in PriDe Playoffs, and every team has to be careful not underestimating a less known enemy.
