The second DotA Item Contest has started, and IceFroG and the rest of the DotA Allstars crew want your entries!
The contest is for recipe items only, and in order to take part you must post the recipe, the statistics and some further information. Take this shield for example, Shield of the Naga (picture), which is built from a Stout Shield and a Planewalker's Cloak. The effect of this item is a 45% change to block 40 damage, 20% spell reduction, +100 mana and an Absorption.All the items shall be posted in the » Item Suggestion forum at the DotA Allstars section. It is a quite advanced system on how the items are picked out, but everything is explained by RedSoxFaithful in » this forum thread.
Though keep in mind that winning the item contest does not mean complete implementation in the game. Though IceFroG will give you his personal recommendation on the item.
