The signup has been open until last friday, the teams overran the HTGN site to sign up for the upcoming, well prized DotA event!
As we announced some time ago, the Hostile Tactics Gaming Network opened their doors for the DotA community and started a League with prizes of massive worth (15.000$), over 300 teams have signed up and the teams stood up for the competition until the last possible moment...
Now that the signups are closed the matches are about to begin, the pre-season matches will start at Thursday, July 12th 8pm in the teams respective conference (example: Pacific Conference is 8pm pst, Atlantic Conference is 8pm est) except for the European division which will be default to 8pm cet.
Some additional information:
All teams, which met the requirement and signed up with a 5 player team before 11:59 pm EST on July 6th will be either placed into a open or pro divion and scheduled for the wk1 and wk2 mathes, all teams which did fulfill the requirements but didnt sign up in time will have to wait for their chance...
Even though it wasnt planned at the start, now the South American division will be merged into the North American division, and the Asians will play in one division with the Eruopeans due to several reasons, this doesnt harm the North American or European playes, because all of their games will be played on their respective host.
With this League HTGN managed to put itself in the center of competetive DotA-playing and we're curious and excited to see, how DotA will develop in the global e-sports scene....
