The first edition of MYM Prime Nations
After setting up a bunch of DotA tours MYM decided to take a new step in competetive DotA play and started a nation cup, where the best DotA countries face each other.
Tournament Format
There will be 4 groups each consisting of 5 teams.
1st phase :
Those teams will play a championship, playing one side each (sentinel and scourge), using the extended league mode format (-xl), for a win a team gets 3 points, a draw will result in 1 point and losing will leave the teams with 0 points. The first phase will take three weeks and will start on June 11th.
The seeding and the playing order inside the groups will be announced within the next week.
Some facts about how the matches will be played (copied from the MYM page):
We expect a match to be played every seven days. We will not push back any date or reschedule any match: There are 10 allowed players per team, it should be fairly easy to gather five of those every week.
To the captains: if some of your top 5 player is not available on a certain date.. Well in other sports, sometimes injuries happen, sometimes players are out playing with their real teams, etc... Your role is to select the players and team and to coach them. You will have to do with the players available on the default time period, rescheduling won't be an option.
2nd phase :
The two best teams of each group will advance to the next stage and will play best of three matches in a double elimination grid, similar to the last MYM Prime.

If your country is not on this list and you feel like you are able to build up a competetive team with players from your country, you can sign yourself up for a little tournament which will determine who gets the last two slots in the roster.

Making this a live event
You want to know how your nation is doing in this tournament. You want to have more than just the result?
In an effort to develop pro-gaming journalism along with dota, we will offer shoutcast, and / or live broadcast of some games, in different language (English and French, serious shoutcasters from other countries should contact me, and also game reports!
The MYM crew will be referees in most of the games, and a short report will be written and put online, with :
- Hero pick and player list, description,
- A brief comment and analysis of the game,
- Election of the "player of the game",
- We will propose "Before" and "after" games comments, interviews of the captain and players.
This should be interesting to say the least!
