MeetYourMakers won the DreamHack Winter 2006 DotA tournament a couple of days ago. The favourites in the tournament were interviewed by GosuGamers, and now we give you the interview.
Maelk, the leader of the team, says that they have been practicing a lot lately while FatControllers were a bit inactive, although having good players according to the Danish team leader.
- I think that our main strategy and the activity made us win tonight, he says.
MeetYourMakers are one of the favourites to win the first official tournament
at DreamHack, with a prize money of 5,000 SEK. They say themselves that they haven't seen a team they know of, only a few players that are in other teams, but that most of them are either rusty of inactive.
- Though I see that ElakeDuck has a team, if we play them I think it will be fun, Maelk says. He also says that the team have practice clan wars three to four times a week with the team and other than that they play every day.

- We expected to have more space to sit on but once we got settled it was fine - lots of people and lots of action, he says. And action is what you can say in the official DotA tournament, over 60 teams participated making over 300 gamers. The match between MYM and FC was shown on big screen where over 200 people were observing. Maelk said that the competitive scene of DotA grows every day.
- We see more prize money tournaments coming up, and the fact that CPL Winter has taken up the game means a lot for the scene and in the upcoming future, says Maelk. Though he likes to point out that it needs to become more user friendly to become one of the bigger games, and until that happens he thinks it will remain as a fun game.
