The eight teams, who reached the playoffs in the previous Supercup obtained the top positions in each group and won't face each other early on. Intel Challenge #7 runner up GGnet will open the series against Virus, who reached the second round of FARM4FAME yesterday. Title holder MYM finds themselves on tough ground against three Russian teams.
In comparison to all other tournaments, a strict time schedule was created, forcing particpants to play at destined times every week. Interesting to see will be, how teams are going to adapt to this measure, which doubtlessly makes the event easier to follow for visitors. Round 1 of the first groupstage will be played from the 4th to the 7th of May. ICS head adminstrator Vitaliy "v1lat" Volochay is set to provide regular broadcasts on the cyberarena own3d channels.
The first patch of games will go down tomorrow at 17:00 and 19:00 CET, played by the teams of Group A and B.
Correction: Points are given out in the usual format 3-1-0.
