We played a lot of public games with friends. But after a while it starts to get boring and we start thinking about a platform where we can meet and play regularly against other clans. For a long time it was only an idea developed on an evening with too much beer but with a lot of ups and downs we had been able to realize the idea one year later! Nowadays we are the world biggest League with nearly 60000 players and 3100 clans! Most of the well known teams in the DotA scene gather their first experience in our league and are still playing here today. (e.g., Say_PLZ, Bto , Team Q, nfaculty , MYM...) Due to our new sponsor, Steel Series, we are able to distribute prices for the upcoming season of pick league and also for our tournament series called DotA-Masters. Thx to steel series for their effort this way.

| Clan Envy | Suceava What are your future goals with Dota-League? - For a successful league like DotA-League currently is there can be only one target: dominating the world :). Of course we would like to get bigger to afford the community several options that are useful for DotA gamers.. We hope that we are able to offer prize money for tournaments in the future to keep them at a higher and professional level. Therefore we need more sponsors so if you are interested to be part of a really nice and fast growing community and want to support us, feel free to contact us :). We have a lot of ideas but regrettably, we aren't able to work on all of them. It’s still a free time project. I already mentioned DotA-Masters our tournament series which are happening regularly so stay tuned and visit www.dota-league.com to take sure you won’t miss the next one. Do you spend much time for this project? - Yeah :D it is a full-time job! Three days a week I work 24 hours as an already mentioned fire fighter. The other days I like to spend with my girlfriend and my spare time I spend to work on supports. Rather sad I lack time for my own gaming career. Some of you might have noticed this already! : D Why do you think DotA got so big? It was really small when it came and only a custom game. At the beginning DotA was only a map (even now most professional wc3 game still think so and don't take DotA serious) to relax between your hard wc3 games. You could play 1on1 or 2on2 without any fear to get ganged or the need to deny creeps. Meanwhile DotA is an attractive tactical game where ganging is indispensable and a large growing community. Most hosted games in Battle Net are DotA games. For me it's a fact that DotA should get a place on the next CPL, because there is no other 5on5 game that is so dependent on team play. Each player is important to be successful. A single player can’t decide the game alone even he has a good day, but if one player has a bad day the game might get lost fast.
