DreamHack Stockholm will function as an offline qualifier for the upcoming major in Cluj-Napoca and as it is set to be held this month already, the information surrounding its structure has been released.
The event will be held at the Monster Energy DreamHack Studios. Despite its inaccessibility to the public the event will be streamed online, only the final matches on the last day will be held openly at the Annexet Globe Arenas.
All the 16 teams that were pre-qualified as the Legends and the Challengers that, through the regional qualifiers, are not all decided yet, will fight for the 8 spots that are vacant for DreamHack Cluj-Napoca in October. In groups of 4, the teams will undergo a best-of-three, double-elimination format in a way that every day, one team will qualify for the main event. The last day will feature the consolidation finals, in which the last 4 teams for Cluj will be decided.
Additionally, DreamHack announced in its post that the teams will be provided with training areas which of course will primarily be used for the teams that are still in play.
