The first out of two European pre-qualifiers is set to start tomorrow with sixteen teams being placed inside a single elimination bracket. All matches will be played in a best-of-three format. The top two teams from this pre-qualifier will move on to the closed DreamHack Cluj-Napoca qualifier which is being held in Stockholm later this month.
The organisers have also added one extra bracket to this pre-qualifier. Losers of the first round will move to a new bracket where they will play through the single elimination bracket. The top two teams of this new bracket will get a direct invite for the second European pre-qualifier.
European pre-qualifiers schedule:
September 5th 14:00 - Open Stage I - 512 teams
September 6th 12:00 - Closed Stage I - 8 teams from open stage + 8 invited teams
September 12th 14:00 - Open Stage II - 512 teams
September 13th 12:00 - Closed Stage II - 8 teams from open stage + 8 pre-qual. #1 teams
