Major League Gaming has announced that they will be hosting a CS:GO LAN tournament early next year.
After hinting about a Major League Gaming (MLG) CS:GO tournament for over a month through various Tweets, Major League Gaming has finally confirmed that they will indeed be hosting a CS:GO LAN tournament early next year.
The tournament, which will be held from January 23-25, will feature eight of the best CS:GO teams from around the world battling for a $50,000 total prize pool in Aspen, Colorado. The event will be broadcasted on MLG.tv with additional highlights from mainstream national television networks ESPN and ABC.
Sundance DiGiovanni, CEO of MLG had the following to say about the event:
Fans will be able to purchase tickets for the main event for $100 USD at www.mlg.tv/store, where they will receive reserved seating, a behind-the-scenes tour, and a MLG merchandise giftbag.
CS:GO players will finally be able to say "2MLG4U" without ridicule from the rest of the eSports community.
