Monthly GosuRanking Review: European Edition (February)

February has ended, so we take another snapshot of our GosuRankings and discuss the shifts in power.

Ranking Review:  August - SeptemberOctoberNovember - December - January

Continuing our series of GosuRankings snapshots, taken at the start of every month, is this edition for Europe. February featured several sources of quality competition for NA, but Europe continues to make do with the support of several grass roots organizers.

1st Ninjas in Pyjamas (-)

Yes, they are still a team. The Ninjas are still the no. 1 on our EU GosuRankings, but they won't be for much longer if they continue to avoid competing. NiP last played the 4th of February when they won the Assembly Winter 2017 LAN. Considering the local nature of that LAN, and their competitive history, it was quite surprising they had to play all 5 games of the finals against Helsinki REDS before winning. This result could be nothing, or it could be a very big sign of what could happen when they start competing against other top tier teams again.

2nd Misfits (-)

As the only European team participating in Season 2 of OGN's APEX League, the team could count on a lot of support. The Swedish roster now sporting names such as Reinforce and TviQ had the (mis)fortune of getting placed in the same group as Lunatic Hai. Both their 3-0 loss against LH and their 3-0 win against AF Reds are sure to provide the team with enough experience and opportunity to learn that when the roster returns to Europe they will be a top contender once again.

3rd Team Dignitas (+1)

With Rogue moving to North American permanently, it is Team Dignitas that returns to the top 3 of Europe. Dig went 5-2 in February, winning against the teams they should be winning against. The roster is focusing on the semi-pro tournament at the moment, as there are far more opportunities to be found. We feel it's smart the team is grinding out and building confidence this way, while Europe lacks tournaments of larger scale.

4. eUnited (New)

eUnited is as you might have jokingly guessed indeed the organization that picked up the ex-REUNITED guys. They won the StriveWire Brawl at the start of February, ending their track record so far with a 5-game win streak. Since then, however, the team has been hiding, as there is only so much an experienced roster such as this one can currently get out of the European scene. Let's hope we can announce a major event real soon.

5th The Chavs (-)

6th GamersOrigin (New)

7th  Team Singularity (ex-Grand Danois) (-)

8th Sydioda (-2)
