VALORANT developer Riot Games has announced the launch of the 2025 VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) Team Capsules earlier this week which offers new ways for fans to support their favourite teams while giving fans a way to support partnered organisations directly throughout the season, with a portion of the proceeds going to the the organisation.
Following the success of last year’s Team Capsules and Champions Collection, which generated over $44 million for partnered teams, Riot Games is introducing new elements to enhance the in-game experience. The 2025 Capsules will feature new skin designs, an updated player card, with a premium finish, and additional visual elements.
What can I expect in the VCT 2025 Season Capsule?
The 2025 VCT esports cosmetics will introduce several updates:
- Returning Items: Team Capsules and the Champions Collection will be available again.
- Season Capsule: A new collection, featuring a unique melee skin, inspired by the 2023 LOCK//IN collection. Further details on this will be revealed later in the year.
The Classic as Centrepiece
The Classic sidearm has been chosen as this year’s featured weapon for the 2025 Team Capsules. According to the press release, the Classic was chosen because it’s a staple in every round of VALORANT, making it a natural choice for showcasing team branding.
The 2025 Team Capsules will feature the “Midnight Splash” theme, serving as an “alternate jersey” to last year’s designs. And according to the press release the goal was to “give a unique feel and identity to the Classics in 2025” while giving the teams a unique way to express their brand creativity in a new way.
What’s included in the 2025 Team Capsules?
Each Team Capsule will include:
- Upgraded Classic Skin with team-themed designs and branding elements.
- Achievement Tracker Inspect, displaying major tournament victories.
- 2025 Player Card with a premium finish, highlighting team identity.
- Original 2024 Spray and Gun Buddy, with discounts for returning owners.
- Winner’s Flair for teams that secured major event victories, such as EDward Gaming (EDG) for their VCT CN and 2024 Champions titles.
- EDG Player Card featuring a special Champion’s flair as the 2024 World Champions.
Capsules for teams promoted through Ascension will be released later in the season.

Where can I get the VCT Season Capsule?
These will be available throughout the season in the in-game Esports store. Returning players who previously purchased items from the 2024 collection will receive discounts on select items.
Further updates on the Season Capsule and other digital offerings are expected to be shared later in the year as the 2025 VCT season progresses.
