SicK of the Sentinels VALORANT team was arrested for criminal trespassing

It hasn't been a great 2023 for Sentinels so far.

Sentinels' VALORANT squad cannot catch a break this year; after a first-round exit at the VCT LOCK//IN, the team has made headlines again, this time with its substitute player, Hunter “SicK” Mims. He was arrested on March 4 for criminal trespassing following an incident at a Ferrari car dealership.

He was charged with a Class B Misdemeanor with a bond of $5,000. He is currently being held in the Collins County Jail in Dallas, Texas. SicK's arrest came after he refused to leave the car dealership even after being repeatedly requested to leave by employees.

According to various reports, while SicK is still registered as a Sentinels substitute, he has since been handed a temporary suspension. Reports have also stated that SicK is currently going through mental health and personal issues. While there has been no official statement from the organisation, word on the street is that it is actively looking for a sixth man to complete its roster.

With SicK currently suspended, the rumour mill has been swirling once more. This time, it is the former OpTic Gaming Jimmy "Marved" Nguyen who many have claimed to be the frontrunner to join Sentinels. However, discussions are still ongoing with no clue on when we can expect an update as of yet.

Marved is one of the most sought-after free agents in the market right now, alongside Jaccob "yay" Whiteaker, following OpTic's failure to gain a partnered slot in the VCT. With the VCT leagues starting in just a few weeks, it will be interesting to see what develops until then.

Sentinels will be hoping to get their 2023 season back on track come the start of the VCT Americas league. The team got swept 2-0 by the eventual champions, Fnatic in the first round of the VCT LOCK//IN. Ever since winning the VCT Stage 2 Masters in Reykjavík, Iceland, the team has not looked the same, followed by an underwhelming 2022 season.
