VCT 2022: EMEA Challengers Week 3 matches are postponed for the time being

The ongoing Russia-Ukraine crisis is the main reason for the postponement.

According to a tweet from the official twitter account, the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022 Europe, Middle East and Africa Challengers Week 3 games will be postponed for now. The ongoing crisis that is happening in Ukraine is stated as the reason for the delay.

“Our community’s welfare is integral to us, and, at this time, our No. 1 priority is to support the players, casters, staff and fans affected by the escalating crisis in Ukraine” – VCT

VCT will be providing an update on the new schedule as soon as it is possible and will be shared via the social media channels.

Some of the Ukranian players in the VCT EMEA have made their thoughts known on social media. Kirill “ANGE1” Karasiow, who plays for FunPlus Phoenix, spoke out on his account with his thoughts on the current crisis.

Russian President Vladmir Putin ordered an invasion of Ukraine on Wednesday. Not only the local and global geopolitical status of countries around the region was affected, the effect can be felt even in the world of esports, with the postponement of the VCT EMEA Week 3 tournament.
