X10 Crit and Team Envy will be fighting for the second spot at the quarterfinals.
The completion of the group stage is just around the corner, and the leader of Group A has been decided. After the incident in the opening matches, Acend is now at the top of the table for the group. Now the last match of the group stage will be the Decider Match where the final spot for the quarter-finals will be, well, decided.
Acend vs 
Team Envy
After their come from behind match in the opening rounds, Acend has now found their momentum and is full steam ahead in Champions Berlin. The two teams played two maps in this match. In the first map, Ascent, Acend continued their good performance in the tournament thus far by leading the match in the first half with little problem. While Team Envy tried to catch up, they were unable to, thus the map was won by Acend in just 21 rounds.
In the second map, Bind, the story is just about the same as Acend continued their performance lead by not giving Team Envy any quarter in both halves. Team Envy didn’t have the chance anyway as Acend again left them in the dust by the end of the first half, and while they almost managed to reach equilibrium, but Acend managed to win in the end 13-11.
Acend won the Group A Winners’ Match 2-0.
Keyd Stars vs 
X10 CRIT
An elimination match is always exciting to watch, as two teams will be at their best, working hard to keep themselves in the competition. The match between Keyd Stars and X10 Crit is just that. The two teams were battling to see who will continue their journey in Champions. The first map, Icebox, X10 Crit immediately took the lead by accruing a 4-point advantage in the first half. Keyd Stars seemed to lose some steam as they finished the second half with only 2 wins, giving X10 Crit a 13-6 win.
The Second map, Haven, is like a carbon copy of the first – X10 Critheld the advantage, and Keyd Stars looked like they didn’t have the energy to catch up to the Thai team. In the end, X10 Crit won 13-5, this giving them the overall win.
X10 Crit won the Group A elimination match 2-0.
The next match for Group A will be the Decider Match along with the other groups. This match will be where the final spot for the quarterfinals will be settled, and the start of the playoff stage can start in earnest.
