From the fourth of March, 16 players will play in the WCG China wildcard tournament to decide which 3 players will get one of the first spots for the WCG China.
The wilcard tournament will start March 4th and will be entirely played online. The players have been divided in four groups, where the top 3 will earn their way into the final qualifications for WCG China 2008.
Last year it was GoldTel.Thank who took the first place in the wildcard tournament. In a 2:1 Grand Finals, he defeated wNv.xiaOt and claimed one of the 3 spots for the national finals. WE.08.infi won the last wildcard after defeating his teammate WE.IGE.suhO with a 2:0.
Nothing has been said about the prizes yet, but if they choose to prolong the amount of last year they give away €900 to the top 3. In 2007 the winner took €500, second place earned €300 and the third place received €100.

For the people who miss WE.Sky: He received an invitation for the national finals and so he automatically qualified for the WCG China Finals. The entire Chinese top is represented in the tournament. Who will reign, who will qualify for the national finals, only time will tell.
