Are you ready for Freddy?
When is the real-life Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza opening?
Five Nights at Freddy’s is teaming up with entertainment and retail center American Dream to open a real-life restaurant based on Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. The restaurant is aiming to deliver a dining experience that will be faithful to fans of the games–complete with two animatronic stage shows: the Main Stage with Freddy and the Fazbear Band, and the Pirate Cove with Foxy the Pirate.
In Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, fans will be able to dine in, play arcade games, and watch an animatronic show. Additionally, they’ll also be able to take part in survival horror multiplayer games, though the nature of these games are currently unknown.
Via Variety, creative manager of licensing and location-based entertainment and lead for the attraction, Atreyu Alcantar from American Dream, said:
“The only way this experience succeeds is if it’s created by a team that knows ‘Five Nights at Freddy’s’ inside and out. The animatronic show has to be authentic. The food has to be high quality. And above all else, we’re not building a set that looks like Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza–we’re building Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. This experience will immerse longtime fans in the world they’ve imagined for years while welcoming an entirely new audience to discover it for the first time.”
Five Nights at Freddy’s is a game franchise that typically focuses on a lone protagonist attempting to survive several nights of hauntings perpetrated by vicious animatronics. The game franchise has spawned two live-action movies, and continues to expand with new sequels and spin-offs.
