MSI MGA will host the first Triple Region Clash LAN, $75k prizepool, registrations open today

The Masters Gaming Arena by MSI is back, and Overwatch is going to be the main attraction!

Event Hub - Official Announcement

MSI has announced their next MGA event, and it features Overwatch as the main event. The Masters Gaming Arena 2016 will invite teams from Europe, North America AND Asia to compete and eventually qualify for the LAN finals in London.

Starting today, the 5th of September, teams can register for this grand event. Qualification for the main event will happen in several phases throughout October, and will lead to four teams battling it out at the Gfinity Arena in London for the $75,000 prizepool.

As said, only four teams will qualify for the LAN finals: 1 from NA, 1 from Europe, 1 from Asia and 1 MSI sponsored invite. No news is out yet on who that fourth team will be, but considering that only 1 team from each region gets to travel to London we should expect the Qualifiers to be just as (if not more) exciting.

Teams interested in playing should head over to the MSI site, and both players and fans should be interested in knowing the times and dates of the matches:

REGIONAL ONLINE QUALIFIERS

  • Americas – October, 4-5 (Tuesday & Wednesday), 18:00 - 23:00 (PDT)
  • Europe – October, 7-8 (Friday & Saturday), 18:00 - 23:00 (BST)
  • Asia – October, 10-11 (Monday & Tuesday), 18:00 - 23:00 (CST)

REGIONAL FINAL

  • Americas – October, 14-15 (Friday & Saturday), 18:00 - 23:00 (PDT)
  • Europe – October, 17-18 (Monday & Tuesday), 18:00 - 23:00 (BST)
  • Asia – October, 20-21 (Thursday & Friday), 18:00 - 23:00 (CST)

The finals will be played on the 7th and 8th of December, so still quite a while away. Who knows what will happen in the mean time, we might even get Sombra.
