A viewers guide to ONOG Operation Breakout

ONOG Operation Breakout starts today, featuring a $15,000 prize pool. Some of the Top 10 teams in Overwatch will battle it out while bringing attention to the important issue of visas for eSports professionals. ?

The ONOG Operation Breakout tournament starts today, featuring 10 of the best Overwatch teams from NA and EU and a $15,000 prize pool. The tournament, which features 7 out of our top 10 ranked teams in the world, is meant to raise awareness for the difficulty eSports competitors face in getting a visa to compete in the United States as we explained before.

Today we will have the first of three days of group stage matches. With Team Liquid dropping out of the tournament, after taking up one of the invitees spots, we will see more teams get knocked out by June 19th. So while today's matches arent make or break just yet, they do make quite a difference still.

Predictions:

Top 2 out of Group 1:

1st Cloud9

The number 1 ranked overall team and champions of Agents Rising, Cloud9 is the best team in the game right now. They have had a streak of dominance since the closed beta and have shown no signs of slowing down. They should exit this group with ease.

2nd Rogue

The champions of TakeOver have been on an impressive run of form lately. They managed Top 4 at the GosuGamers EU weekly #12, losing only to eventual champions Reunited. Led by the star power of TViQ they should make quick work of this group, aside from Cloud9.

Top 2 out of Group 2:

1st EnVyUs

The 2nd overall ranked team and champions of both GosuGamers tournaments last week, EnVyUs is on a roll. Their mix of skill and clutch play makes them a force to be reckoned with. They should make it out of this group in first with ease, despite the stiff competition.

2nd Reunited

The champions of the GosuGamers Weekly EU #12, they are a close second to EnVyUs. Like Cloud9, Reunited had a very good run in the closed beta, placing out of the top 2 only twice. The top two in this group are a good deal better than the rest and should win out with no problems.
