French site Metatrone announces Overwatch Tournament
As more people trickle into the beta, and with Overwatch being an innately competitive game, it's only a matter of time before more leagues and tournaments start popping up.
Looking to get started early, French site Metatrone is partnering with GIGABYTE to bring the region their first Overwatch tournament, and from the way things are looking, this is intended to be the first of many. The "Metratone Cup - Overwatch #1" is scheduled to begin on March 16, with the tournament playing out over the course of a week.
As of right now, the total prize pool stands at about 1000€ with first place taking 600€ + additional prizes that are yet to be announced. These prizes have been supplied by Metatrone, GIGABYTE, and thier other partners who have helped in bringing all of this together.
The whole event will be streamed in both English and French, with the French stream being found at http://www.twitch.tv/esl_alphacast/ and the English side of things being taken of by TempoZP and Hexagrams through the GosuGamers Twitch channel.
