You say Shimada, I say Shimada. Genji does bear a resemblance to his brother, Hanzo. They can both walk up walls, they're both straight shooters, but can be a bit scattered at times. But perhaps the most distinguished trait they share is their temper. Don't anger either of these two Shimadas, or else the dragon will come out. You don't want to anger the dragon, do you?
Abilities:
Shuriken: Shoot a volley of three shurikens out of a 24 count clip.
Fan of Blades: Shoot three shurikens out in a spread at the cost of 3/24.
Swift Strike: Dash through an enemy inflicting bleed damage over time.
Deflect: Reflect projectiles back to their source.
Cyber Agility: Passive which allows Genji to climb walls and double-jump.
Dragonblade: Genji yields Dragonblade dealing 150+ damage per strike.
Role: Offense
With good poke and a devestating finisher ultimate, Genji excels at cleaning up damage dealt. Swift Strike allows him to strike and dash along the back lines, weakening up, and in some cases even executing snipers and flank heroes. Genji's cyber agility also gives him to ability to scout ledges and make quick escapes. As effective Fan of Blades spamming through doorways as he is striking through hallways, Genji offers good versatility on offense.
Composition
As an anti-backline hero, Genji doesn't need other heroes who fill similar roles in the composition. A Widowmaker or a Reaper may be a case of too many cooks in the kitchen. However, if you would like to pair Genji up with another backliner, a Tracer combined with Genji's mobility may feel like a hornets nest on your enemy's flanks. Perhaps his greatest synergy would be with Rienhardt's ultimate, Earthshatter. Knock the enemy team down then sweep the floor with hammer and sword.
