Player Spotlight: Grego, Don't Grego his Eggo

In this series from GosuGamers, we are going to help introduce some of the best players that Overwatch already has to offer. Because of the arena shooter scene, many of the current top players have been competing in a variety of similar games over the years. These player profiles will provide you information on previous competitive history (including team history) as well as a short highlight of the player's Overwatch preferences. Let's have a look at one of North America's finest Overwatch teams: Cloud9.
Gaming History
Grego is an unusual kind of Support player on the higher end of the scene: He brings a vast experience of playing shooters on a high competitive level. Grego first left his mark on the eSport world playing the Nadeo shooter Shootmania, an asymmetrical 3v3 arena shooter. Outside of winning several online tournaments, he managed to participate in the ESWC 2013 and the IPL 6 where the Shootmania Launch Event was held. However, his team didn't make it out of the groups at both events. After Shootmania, Grego tried his hands on Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. And yet again he managed to play at the higher end of the scene. Starting out in the ESEA Open Division, he managed to work up his way into the Premier Division, the second league of North American Counter-Strike, playing for Team WinOut.
Having this vast amount of experience at a relatively young age of 22 leaves Grego in a perfect spot to position himself as one of the best players in Overwatch. He also proved that he's more than "just a Support" with his great Widowmaker performance in the GosuGamers NA Weekly #9.

Lucio, Zenyatta and Widowmaker are the signature heroes of Grego. Being able to seamlessly switch between the various Supports and, if needed, DPS classes make him a valuable asset for Cloud9. Should the meta switch to a single Support one in the future, Cloud9 wont have many problems adapting. It will be interesting if Grego and his team can maintain their current spot as number one team in North America in the upcoming months.
