Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.4's best Dialyn combat, build, and teams guide

"Shh... our service doesn't accept bad reviews!"

Dialyn joins Zenless Zone Zero in Version 2.4 as a Physical Stun agent from the Krampus Compliance Authority, and she brings a surprisingly technical but rewarding kit built around stacking Positive Reviews, triggering Get Lost, and enabling explosive team chains. She excels as an off-field Stun dealer who empowers your main damage dealer while amplifying Impact, Daze and team-wide output. Once you understand how her review-based mechanics work, she becomes one of the smoothest and most efficient Stun units in the game.

How to play Dialyn

Dialyn revolves around managing two primary resources, Positive Reviews and Get Lost.

Dialyn's kit revolves around Positive Reviews and Get Lost.

Positive Reviews

Dialyn naturally builds up Positive Reviews whenever she uses her Basic Attacks, Special Attacks, and EX Special Attacks. Once the gauge fills completely, it activates Get Lost. Even if the gauge isn’t full, she can still spend a portion of her Positive Reviews to support Chain Attacks.

Get Lost

When Get Lost is active, swapping to another character during a Chain Attack will consume it, and allow the next agent to fire their Ultimate automatically without using any Decibels. If Get Lost isn’t active, she can still trigger the same Ultimate effect by burning Positive Reviews, though it costs slightly more.

Applying Malicious Complaint

Dialyn’s EX Special Attack always follows the same order: Rock → Scissors → Paper, with the Paper hit applying Malicious Complaint, a debuff that increases all damage taken by the target. If the enemy is already stunned, this debuff becomes even more valuable, as it extends the stun duration and raises their Stun DMG Multiplier. This makes Malicious Complaint a key tool for unlocking burst damage windows.

Overwhelmingly Positive

Pairing Dialyn with Rupture or Attack characters unlocks an additional team buff, Overwhelmingly Positive, increasing overall party damage. This makes her an excellent enabler for DPS-focused squads.

Recommended Gameplay Loop

A simple and effective loop looks like this:

  1. Enter the battlefield with Dialyn and build Positive Reviews using Basic Attacks or a quick EX Special.
  2. Apply Malicious Complaint via the Paper hit in her EX Special.
  3. Fill the Review Gauge until Get Lost activates.
  4. Trigger a Chain Attack and swap to your DPS, with Get Lost allowing them to instantly use their Ultimate.
  5. Return to Dialyn when you need another Stun cycle or Get Lost refresh.
  6. Repeat the loop to maintain constant damage amplification and reliable Stun uptime.

This rhythm makes Dialyn feel like a combo extender, who ensures your main damage dealer always enters the field at their strongest.

Skill priority

Focus on Dialyn's Core Skill, then her Special Attack, Basic Attack, Chain Attack, Assist and Dodge last.

Focus on the upgrades that directly boost Dialyn’s Stun output and damage amplification:

1. Core Skill (highest priority)

This enhances both her Stun capability and Stun DMG multiplier, directly improving her overall performance.

2. Special Attack

An essential part of her kit since it contributes to building reviews and applying Malicious Complaint.

3. Basic Attack

Useful because it’s frequently used after an EX Special, contributing steady Daze.

4. Chain Attack

Worth levelling for the additional Ultimate Daze it provides.

5. Assist & Dodge (Lowest Priority)

Both contribute small amounts of Daze but aren't core to her loop.

Best W-Engines

Yesterday's Call is Dialyn's signature W-Engine.

Yesterday Calls (Signature W-Engine)

This is Dialyn’s strongest option, offering increased off-field energy regeneration and letting her EX Special Attacks build stacks that boost her Daze. At three stacks, the entire squad also gains bonus CRIT DMG, making it excellent for both her own Daze output and overall team damage.

Spectral Gaze (Wind Seeker)

Spectral Gaze reduces enemy DEF whenever she deals Electric DMG through Aftershock, and it builds Spirit Lock stacks off-field that significantly increase Impact. This makes it a strong choice for improving her Stun potential.

Hellfire Gears (Passionate Construction)

Hellfire Gears provides steady off-field energy regeneration and lets her EX Special Attacks increase Impact with reliable, stackable uptime. It’s a stable, consistent engine for Stun-oriented setups.

The Restrained (Binding Chains)

This W-Engine enhances Basic Attacks by giving them stacking DMG and Daze, making it ideal for players who weave in frequent Basic Attack strings.

Precious Fossilised Core (Behemoth Hunter)

This engine increases Daze when the enemy is above 50% HP, with an additional bonus when they’re over 75%. It performs best in long battles or against tankier mobs.

Best Drive Discs

Dialyn's best Drive Discs already exist in-game: King of the Summit + Woodpecker Electro and King of the Summit + Swing Jazz.

4-pc King of the Summit + 2-pc Woodpecker Electro

  • The ideal set for Dialyn.
  • King of the Summit boosts CRIT DMG when her CRIT Rate exceeds 50%, which synergises perfectly with her kit.
  • Woodpecker Electro adds CRIT Rate, helping her hit Impact thresholds reliably.

Alternative: 4-pc King of the Summit + 2-pc Swing Jazz

  • Swing Jazz (or Moonlight Lullaby) adds Energy Regen.
  • Useful if your sub-stats are better or if you prefer smoother Ultimate rotations.
