Following this week's balance testing, Protoss players will receive a pleasant surprise in buffs to the Warp Prism.
Complaints from Protoss players have been coming in for a while, and not without reward.
Earlier this week, Starcraft 2 Balance Designer David Kim issued a call for testing some interesting new changes.
While the much called for Hellbat nerf didn't make the cut, the Warp Prism will have its speed and acceleration improved.
Changes are:
- Movement speed increased from 2.5 to 2.953.
- Acceleration increased from 2.125 to 2.625.
A unit much neglected during Wings of Liberty, the Warp Prism began to receive serious attention in competitive play after its survivability was increased. Consequently, it became the key to some of Protoss' most dominating play. The new changes, while not earth shattering, will give the unit more breathing space in Heart of the Swarm's novel environment.
