Gamersbook speaks with LCS host 'Sjokz'

Sjokz has a sit-down with Gamersbook and discusses her career in eSports, also touching up on the LCS in France.

'Sjokz' has been a long time gamer rooting from the Unreal Tournament days of old who has worked her way up as a journalist into the professional hostess role she holds today for one of the most prestigious leagues in eSports. Today, she works with ESL and continues to assist them in all of their events

an excerpt of the interview:
You got known via your weekly eSports recap and interviews. Do you feel you will return to your roots at some point or is hosting more suited to you?

Sjokz: I think it's two sides of the same thing, in the end it is still content creation and in my LCS job I interview players as well. I am trying to do more videos myself again and picking up streaming again, but just haven't had a lot of time!

You have been to a fair few events now whether that’s as host or interviewer. Do you prefer the intensity and rivalry of a league or are the major tournaments more exciting?

Sjokz: There is always the risk that a league will decrease the excitement but I think with the roadtrips and showmatches, Lille and MLG are a great example, combined with the consistency delivered by LCS and the fact that #8 in the standings can win against #1 – I prefer the LCS.
