Three zergs, one terran, one golden squid trophy: the air in Paris is heating up as Iron Squid II approaches its end, the semi-finals just about to start.
In the first match of the day, Life faces MarineKing and the danger for the last non-Zerg in the tournament to be eliminated is clear and present. The young zerg prodigy is coming from being voted player of 2012 by many media representatives and his recent Code S performances give no indication that he's lost form over the holidays. On the other hand, MarineKing looks forward to mimicking the explosive start he had the beginning of last year and although Top 4 is in no means a sloppy finish, the ever-emotional terran will be out for youngster's blood.
In the second semi-final, NesTea, who is Iron Squid semi-finalist for the second time now, accepts DongRaeGu. Once holding a record breaking ZvZ win rate, professor NesTea comes into the match-up with the slight edge over an opponent who he'd already beaten twice on Code S ground. For DongRaeGu, this is a match-up with personal meaning above all else.
The matches are now live and the $12,500 are to be grabbed before the day is over.
