Canadian protoss Chris "HuK" Loranger survived the Up/Down matches and joins Code S Season 1 as the second foreigner in the tournament. HuK came second in Group E, one point below winner NesTea.

After a long absence from the GSL, HuK made it to Code S by taking the lives of Flying, Fantasy and Center, the last of which proved crucial as it was what HuK needed to get directly into Code S and not having to pass the wild-cards group.

First in the group came IM zerg ace NesTea. Despite not being in his best form the past few months, NesTea was on a roll today, crushing everyone but Fantasy on his way to the top. With today's results on his account, this will be the 12th Code S season for the Korean veteran.

Unfortunately for the foreign fans, the other non-Korean representative in the Up/Down matches Grubby did not have the same success. The Dutchman played his Up/Down group on Tuesday and finished last with a score of 0-5. His group was ultimately topped by Losira and DongRaeGu followed by Symbol, who took the wild card train and completed the absolute zerg triumph in Group C.

Group D wasn't at all kind to protosses as well and all of the three representatives HerO, sOs and Genius failed to make the cut and dropped to Code A. Bomber and ByuL took the Code S seeds from that group and ByuN finished third to end up in the wild cards group.

Said wild cards group will be played out tomorrow and will feature Jaedong, Shine, Symbol, ByuN and Center.
