Hanci: 'Our goal is to show our strength and claim the title'

For.Love is a team that many people proclaimed as underdogs in the G-League Dota 2 competition. They are a new team consisting of relatively unknown player except the found member of Nirvana.cn, Banana. In their first opening match against DK, they proved critics wrong and claimed a convincing 2-0 win over DK.

For.Love is a relatively no name team. Although they did manage to qualify for G-League, prior to this tournament, the team was not known except for their star player, Banana. Though despite being an underdog, For.Love dominated their opening match against DK very convincingly. In here SGamer interviews one of its member, hanci.

Editor's note: The following translation of the interview may or may not differ in terms of wording. Though it is changed to suit the language and for easier reading purposes. With that said, the meaning behind it has not changed. Also, the interview was conducted prior to the G-League match, therefore does not have any questions regarding the game.

Here is the translation of the original interview;

Hello, I'm very happy that hanci has accepted our interview, can you introduce yourself to everyone?
Hello everyone, I'm For.Love's ant boy, hanci.

Today the For.Love's team will once again come to play in G-League, we see a lot of new faces in the team, can you introduce to us who are your new members?
Comparing the previous G-League competition, we have 2 new members. One is the former coach of DK, AABF. He is also playing on the role 3. Another is a founder of the original Nirvan.cn team, Banana, who currently plays on the 4th role. Currently the team is training really hard, we hope that we can do well in the competition.

For.Love has already manage to qualify for G-League 3 times in a row, what is your goal towards G-league?
To show our strength. Though the main goal is definitely to become champion, but anyone is capable of getting the title.

This time, group A consists of DK, LGD.cn and LGD.int. This seems like a deadly and tough group, what do you think?
Regarding LGD, we constantly practice against them. Although our win rate against them is fairly low, but it's fair to say we figured out their play style and strategy. For LGD.int, seems like it would be a tough competition, meeting them might be a dream. As for DK, whenever we practice, we never seem to win.

So this time, G-League's top 8's competition format has changed. The top 3 would enter the playoffs, what do you think about this?
At the moment I don't quite understand this format, but to be one of the top 4s, you definitely need to have strength.

If you were to enter the playoffs, who would be your opponent of choice?
I don't want any of the other teams! On a serious note, I would pick VG. This is mainly because we played and competed with them the most, so we have an understanding of their play style and strategies.

So does this mean you guys have confidence in winning VG?
That's not to say, but I can only say we know ourselves and our foes, at best there would be a 55% chance for us to win.

So in the new version, do you have any new strategies?
When you begin, you have to snatch the supports first. As for ban, you mainly focus on the "OP" heroes. For those you are unable to ban, you can slowly think and snatch them afterwards.

So recently, which heroes are very favored at the moment?
Nerubian (Nyx) Assasin and Twin-Headed Dragon (Jakiro), also Moon Rider(Luna) and Rubick. Batrider and Magnus' crowd control is also very imba.

Why do you think these heroes have become so popular/favoured lately?
High burst damage, team fight control and escape capabilities, one/few of these lead to the heroes becoming so famous.

So currently, what are the preferred play styles? What kind of play styles do For.Love play?
We currently play the 4 protect 1 strategy, which I don't think is that much different as the preferred one.

Alright, thank you Hanci for accepting our interview.
