European LAN Championship in Moscow with $3600

This upcoming February 22-24, 2013, the first of a total of 5 LAN events is going to take place. It's going to be located in Moscow and feature a $3600 prizepool in addition to paid trips for the qualified players.

After a previous announcement by EywaSC Inc. to host the Euro Winter 2013 LAN event with about $35,000 as the prizepool and paid expenses for the qualified players there was alot of doubt within the community. So the plan was restructured to build up more confidence and trust within the community.

The restruction now sees the previous event as the Grand Finale, still featuring a total of $34,600 and paying for the qualified players' trips and accommodation.
Before this Grand Finale, however, there are going to be four smaller LAN events during the European LAN Championship. These LAN events are going to be hosted in Moscow (February 22-24, 2013), Prague (April 12-14, 2013), Berlin (August 7-11, 2013) and Stockholm (in fall 2013). After that the Grand Finale will take place at a yet unannounced location.

The expenses for the Moscow LAN are only paid for players from Europe and a total of seven European players can qualify online for the Moscow LAN.
First there are going to be national qualifiers for the different countries, or for a group of countries for those countries who don't have enough sign ups. These are played within the time period from November 10 till December 15.
After that there is going to be a Round of 56 with the highest placed players from each national qualifier. From the Round of 56 group stage one player moves on from each group. This will happened in the week from January 12 till January 19, 2013.
Fourteen players will remain after that and they're then placed in single elimination and these matches are played on January 26, 2013, and February 2, 2013.

The eighth slot for the Moscow LAN is given to a player from the American continents. This player is determined by an online double elimination bracket between February 17 and February 21, 2013. The winning player will however not be flown out to Moscow but instead will partake in the tournament online.
Due to this only players who have no lag issues with Europeans are eligible to participate.

Players who had already signed up previous are still signed up, those who are not signed up yet can do so by sending an e-mail to [email protected] until November 3, 2012, with the following information: a replay pack with 15 matches for each match up you play, your IP address for counter-abuse measurements, your full name, your most known username, a list of your smurf accounts and former usernames on BW, the race you're going to play and your nationality.
