With the pool play and open bracket coming to a close, the championship brackets get clearer. Stephano, SaSe and Grubby are the only non-Koreans left in the tournament as the last day is about to kick off.

PuMa, aLive, ThorZaIN, Golden, Rain, JYP, SaSe and Oz took the last eight spots in the pool play. SaSe, JYP and Golden did so by going through the full open bracket, which meant staying alive in five best of threes.

The Swedish Protoss' MLG tale will conclude today as he is paired with Dutch Protoss Grubby in the fifth round of the Championship losers bracket. Should he advance from there, he will play Leenock in a match to keep the royal run dream intact.

French superstar Stephano's first loss in the tournament came against MarineKing in the first round of the Championship bracket after sailing through undefeated in pool C. A 1-2 loss meant a losers bracket position for the Millenium player. The way the bracket have aligned, he will go head-to-head with the winner between Grubby and SaSe, should one of them make it that far.

DongRaeGu has shown a strong performance in this weekend's MLG. The MVP Zerg took out PuMa 2-1 in his first championship bracket round and will today go up against MarineKingPrime in the winners final.

German hope Socke ended up in fourth place in pool D, which meant a leap forward in losers bracket, starting at round four. The opposition, in the shape of Terran player GanZi, proved too tough a task for the Alternate aTTaX player with the match ending 2-0 in the Korean's favour.

Recent DreamHack Stockholm champion ThorZaIN, came in from the open bracket to pool B, to lose all but one match (against Grubby) which placed him as already as round two in the bracket. While defeating a newly extended series winner Suppy (4-3 over SeleCT), ThorZaIN also had to tap out against GanZi in the following round.
