Major League Gaming announced earlier that they will be cooperating with the Korea eSports Association to have KeSPA players competing in the North American tournament.

To mark the beginning of the partnership, a few BroodWar progamers selected from among the best KeSPA teams will travel to Anaheim during the MLG Spring Championship to compete in an exhibition StarCraft 2 tournament.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with the most prestigious eSports league in the world, and feel our partnership will forever change competitive gaming,” said Sundance DiGiovanni, CEO of Major League Gaming. “KeSPA has long been a true leader in this industry and has been instrumental in its success, and this is just the beginning of our work together. We look forward to continued growth and expansion in the years to come.”

“We are pleased to join with MLG to bring the best players in the world to the international stage,” said Lee Young Hee, President of KeSPA. “Together, KeSPA and MLG are building the global future of our sport.”

MLG Spring Championship is scheduled for June 8-10 with the aforementioned exhibition StarCraft 2 tournament taking place on Saturday. This will be the third SC2 tournament in Anaheim that week as the World Champion Series USA Nationals are to kick off June 6-8.
