Quantic Gaming acquires Team Vile

The American-based team Vile--home of prominent players such as Illusion, Ddoro, State and Hashe--has had its roster absorbed by Quantic Gaming, effective today. This comes three days after Vile withdrew from the EG Masters Cup due to changes in ownership and roster restructuring.

The deal was facilitated by Google software engineers Ian Gulliver and Stephen Gunn, both fans of professional StarCraft 2 since the game's release. According to ESFIWorld.com, the acquisition was completed in 72 hours.

Additionally, Gamefront.com had the chance to sit down for a chat with the two Google employees and Gulliver had this to say:

"Vile was in the middle of a management shakeup in the last few weeks, and Stephen and I came to the point where we were worried about the players finding a solid place to land and propel them further upward in the eSports community. We have a lot of really awesome players and want to make sure they see their full potential."

Acquired by Quantic are all Vile members except Yong and with this QxG's roster grows to a total of 17.

Vile players acquired by Quantic:

United States Illusion
United States Spanishiwa
United States State
United States Psy
United States Sync
United States Hawk
United States Domorin
Russia Hashe
Canada Ddoro
Canada Chance

In unrelated news, Quantic Gaming lost their star zerg player Destiny yesterday, shortly after screenshots of him using racial slurs reached the web. According to another source, Destiny decided to step down after having a discussion with Quantic, stating that he "would be more of a liability than an asset".
