While having the home ground advantage, Team It's Gosu were able to defeat From Pubstars and win the It's Gosu January Invitational. It's Gosu had a fairly easy road to the finals compared to From Pubstars. Team It's Gosu's only real challenge was Infused, which was their semi-finals match.
From Pubstars had the hardest road to the finals; they were able to beat the It's Gosu January Open winners, Frenetic Array, 2-1. After beating Frenetic Array, From Pubstars had to play the winner of the It's Gosu December Invitational tournament, Jah & friends. From Pubstars were able to beat Jah & Friends and advance to the finals where they would lose 2-0 to Team It's Gosu.
First place: Team It's Gosu - $600 USD, 2000 gold coins
Second place: From Pubstars - $100 USD, 500 gold coins
Trademark eSports have been crowned this week's Honcast King of the Hill after defeating FnaticRaidCall 2-1. The week started out with Trademark eSports having to face Frenetic Array in a best of one series. Trademark eSports beat Frenetic Array and would later on play verses FnaticRaidCall in a best of three. Trademark eSports was able to win the first game against FnaticRaidCall, but were unable to continue playing due to one of their players being stuck in a blizzard and having no power. Trademark eSports and FnaticRaidCall agreed to postpone the rest of the series and play the following day.
As the series resumed the following day, both FnaticRaidCall and Trademark eSports used ringers. TdM used Johan "Mynuts" Andersson and FnaticRaidCall used Kai " H4nn1" Hanbueckersi and Skyzoe. Fnatic were able to win the second game and tie the series 1-1. The 3rd and final game would last almost a hour, and after such a long match, Trademark eSports were able to come out on top and win the Honcast King of the Hill 2-1.
