Honcast announces their "King of the Hill" weekly events, featuring prizes up to $200 for the reigning champions.
The Honcast King of the Hill event will start this Saturday, January 14th, with a public vote to choose the initial three participants. In the future, teams eligible for participation will be chosen via a public vote every weekend and then drawn "out of a hat" on the Honcast Weekly Podcasts on Monday nights.
The reigning King of the Hill will be awarded with $100 for their first victory and an increment of $25 for every consecutive win. The maximum prize is capped at $200. Shall the reigning champion be dethroned by a challenger, they'd get their "bounty" and reset to $100 for the next match.
The event consists of a play-in match held on Wednesdays at 11AM PST / 20:00 CET, where two teams that were drawn out of the hat will fight for a chance to defeat the champion; and the King of the Hill match every Friday at 11AM PST / 20:00 CET for all the marbles.
