The Korean protosses JYP and HerO, both members of international teams, painted their HSC debut with comfortable flawless victories. This put them as temporary leaders of their respective groups, although their Ro16 spots are not 100% certain yet.
EG's JYP crippled the home turf presence in Group E, going 2-0 against both DarkHydra and DarkForce. The newest member of the American team is still to play BlinG, who also was off to a good start but whose score was quickly evened down as DarkForce scored a two-nil against him.
A 4-0 score for JYP is not a guarantee for his advance yet. If DarkForce and BlinG are to score 2-0 victories in their last matches, the group is to enter a tie-breaker between them and the EG protoss.
In the group next door, HerO sprung back from a disappointing BlizzardCup performance and took the lead in group F. First to fall to Liquid's protoss was Finnish terran Naama, followed by KawaiiRice. HerO played exemplary PvTs, using storm drops and zealot harasses to reach a 4-0 lead.
