This January, the North Americal Star League will take a temporary pause from the individual tournaments and go into a team format. NASL will host a three-month long King-of-the-Hill event with eight of the best teams in the world.
The team pool will be formed both by invitations and qualifiers. The four invited teams are the top 4 finishers at the GosuCoaching Premier League #2, namely Evil Geniuses, Team Empire, Team Liquid and Mousesports. Those will be joined by the ones that beat the online qualifiers, which will span over two weekends, the first one being on January 7-8, starting at 19:00 CET and the other on January 14-15 at the same time.
The games will be in a Bo7 format and the tournament is to feature a map pool with battlefields provided from The Planetary Workshop, the GSL and NASL whcih is as follows:
