EG's Puma reaped the heads of both Losira and Bomber in rounds three and four of the losers bracket. After crushing Losira convincingly in game one, Puma sealed the deal on Dual Sight after a back and forth TvZ and finally grasping a victory with his persistent thor/tank army.
Puma then moved on to play a terran mirror against Bomber and after two very equally matched games, Puma came on strong in the third set, going for a proxy factory/starport rush and straight on overpowering his opponent for the 2-1.

On the red stream, Leenock and Boxer engaged in a tense ZvT, opening the series with a long macro game on Dual Sight. The Emperor displayed a good overall consistency in his play against Leenock's massive mutalisk flock, but made a couple of crucial mistakes that cost him the game. It began with Boxer not properly moving out to take down Leenock's third and getting slaughtered along the way and then not retreating in time when the aforementioned expansion finally dropped dead.
Game two was a one-sided slaughter with Boxer opening proxy rax but having to retreat early after losing his SCVs. Without experience any early game distress, Leenock just transitioned straight to banelings and busted Boxer's front for the win.
