MLG Dallas 2011 runner-up KiWiKaKi showed proof of his skill versus DongRaeGu, but the Zerg player's economy and stable play made sure there will be Korea vs. Korea in the winner bracket round of 16.
The first game on Shattered Temple a hard working KiWiKaKi was seen playing at even keel with DongRaegu thanks to his void ray and phoenix harass. DongRaeGu was quick in taking an early gold base expand, and escalated in finances.

Following his void ray play, the Canadian Protoss moved over to a straight colossi, stalker army. And after getting caught with his units out on the map while getting pounded with mutalisks in the main, KiWiKaKi decides to go for a counter-attack. It doesn't take long until DongRaeGu moves back to sandwich the Protoss army with zergligns and mutalisks.

The second game, on Shakuras Plateau, saw KiWiKaKi take a fast expansion with a quick gateway that pumped out four zealots. DongRaeGu opted for a quick roach warren and applied pressure on KiWiKaKi's natural expansion. And while the roaches actually managed to run by, Protoss could hold and instead apply pressure on DongRaeGu with an incoming void ray and phoenixes.
Having just finished his expansion after investing so much in the 1-base roach attack, DongRaeGu followed it up with hydras and nydus network play. But KiWiKaKi could transition into colossus to get applauded by the casters and managed to fend off the hydralisk push from DongRaeGu to even out the score to 1-1.
Last game was similar to first game, as DRG expanded at the gold expansion instead of his natural. With a sky-rocketing three-base economy, the roach, zergling army kept KiWiKaKi busy throughout most of the game. And by DRG taking even more expansions and teching up to mutalisks, KiWi's big stalker army without any real colossus or psi storm support was not enough to hold back the compLexity Gaming MVP Zerg.

DongRaeGu now moves on to face MMA in the fourth championship bracket round while KiWiKaKi will have to continue his MLG journey through the lower bracket.
