The young protoss hope of team Liquid HerO scored a flashy victory over team-mate Ret. HerO made the caster duo go wild after sweeping the first game with a vortex/archon combo.
The opening set on Shattered Temple was a prolonged one, ever walking the razor's edge. Hero opened with a sick Phoenix harass forcing Ret into spawning large quantities of Hydralisks only to keep his economy beating.

As Ret's army started growing bigger and bigger, HerO actually found it hard to confront it directly. The Dutchman had an overwhelming amount of corruptors that nullified his colossi and passively amplified the strength of his massive hydralisk count. Things started getting worse when the greater spire finished for Ret and the corruptors turned into brood lords.
It was at that time that HerO executed his signature multitasking mayhem. Using warp prism and blink micro, HerO hit Ret's tech while successfully denying him an additional expansion. That gave the protoss enough time to get out a mothership and when the two armies met at HerO's gold, a sick vortex entrapped all of Ret's brood lords which reappeared seconds later under burning archon fire. 1-0 for the protoss.

The second game was just as amazing although marginally shorter. Ret sprinted to three hatcheries in attempt to match HerO's fast expo but the protoss had other plans and a long macro game was not the main one. HerO opened with at first sight a standard Void Ray build but quickly transitioned into robo and a warp prism. Suddenly, Ret's base was under heavy pressure as HerO had brought four sentries to control the ramp and warped in wave after wave of zealots right into Ret's main. Combined with the power of void rays, this technical rush proved too much for Ret and he had to GG out, giving the victory to his Korean team-mate.
HerO will face HuK in the round four of the Winners Bracket.
