EU Battle.net Invitational runner-up Naniwa came strong against Major to win of the eight WB quarter-final spots, and he is to play "Zerg King" SEn next.
The series started bad for Nani as he failed his 1-base sentry rush as siege finished for Major just in time for him to stay alive. Somehow, though, Naniwa transitioned out of the 4-gate all-in and successfully reached blink and archon tech but a battle at the center of Antiga spelled doom for the Swede as EMPs poured down.
But it was not meant for the Latin American champion to prevail. The set on Shakuras developed quite unfortunate for him as he failed both his bio attack (hitting just before stim would be finished) and every drop attempt that followed. Meanwhile, Naniwa just built up a gross amount of immortals and sentries to kill his opponent in a direct engagement. The final set on Abyssal Caverns saw Naniwa opening with a very early Stalker push and take advantage of Major's indecision to gain an early worker advantage and win the series in the mid-game.
