The Weekly HoN Report is a brief, straightforward review to help you catch up on the major competitive matches that happened in the past week.
There wasn't a whole lot of tournament action this week, but the main event was the finals of the TwitchTV HoN Challenge between Team EZ and Lions eSportklubb. The Esports Heaven HoN Challenge continues with Round 2 of the playoffs.

Game 1 had a ton of action with both teams trading kills evenly. Rampage put Lions ahead early, but EZ won a huge fight at Kongor that gave them the first big lead. At 50 minutes, Lions could not match the late-game power of Corrupted Disciple and conceded Game 1.

EZ began Game 2 with several failed gank attempts, and Lions was off to an early lead. Pestilence got excellent farm in the bottom lane, while Fayde was limited to almost none. All it took was a Genocide at 26 minutes, and it was on to Game 3.

EZ ran both Ophelia and Tempest in Game 3, occupying both jungles, while Lions had the newly-buffed Forsaken Archer. Wretched Hag had a horrendous start due to constant early ganks and sank to under 100 GPM. Lions was up 12-3 in hero kills and 4-0 in tower kills at 11 minutes in. A few one-sided fights later, and Lions earned a well-deserved victory.

Esports Heaven HoN Challenge

Esports Heaven's tournament continues into the second round of the playoff bracket. The level of competition is already high, with first-round matches of tdM vs. coL and DskB vs. OK. The teams that have advanced to the Round of 16 include MSI, OK, Rea, Infs, fray, xFin, coL, and EZ. We'll keep you informed with highlights of some of the upcoming matches in the quarterfinals and semifinals of the tournament.
